R/V Escorial
The
R/V Escorial is an aluminum survey boat, 35 ft length, 12 ft beam with a
Detroit V-8-71 and a bowthruster. It has air conditioning, 100 gallon/day watermaker,
diving hooka system
with three compressors, boom with electric hoist, 4 kW Diesel generator, 1kw
inverter, autopilot, DGPS, Satellite navigator, weatherfax, radar, sonar and a
sophisticated navionics system logging its position in real time on electronic
NOAA charts in its navigation computer.
GO
DevilThe GO Devil is a 16 foot jon boat with a small Honda outboard motor that is
equipped with seats, bimini covers and a center console. Two heavy duty
automobile batteries provide sufficient power to operate a custom waterproof
data acquisition computer and a profiling Eulerian, UCM60 acoustic current
meter for several days between battery recharges.
The
GO Devil is trailerable and may be conveniently launched into canals from
levees without requiring a boat ramp. The GO Devil is kept in a state of
constant readiness in order to be able to respond quickly to customer demands.
