The General Oceanics’ Syringe Sampling System provides you with the tool that you need in a compact, easy- to-handle system. External cabling and large frames are eliminated. Plus, you get the world renowned reliability of the Model 1014 Rosette water sampler.
This system may be configured to accept standard, off the shelf syringes up to 60 ml. capacity.
Additional external sensors such as a Small CTD, Fluorometer, Transmissometer, OBS, Altimeter, etc. may be installed. Data from additional sensors is telemetered to the surface along with data collected by the optionally installed CTD.
A tubing cluster may be installed on the syringes in order to precisely position where the sample is to be taken. A variety of off the shelf glass or disposable plastic syringes are readily available. Syringe installation and removal is simple and effortless. An adjustable lock nut is available for precisely setting the sample size. depth rating is 1,900 meters for the lightweight version.

The sampler is constructed of Hard Coat anodized aluminum, stainless steel, PVC and polycarbonate plastics. A variety of off the shelf syringe accessories are available such as valves, filters, sampling tubing, etc.
A small, low cost CTD may be interfaced with the Syringe Sampler as well as other sensors such as Dissolved Oxygen, pH, Optical Back scatter, Fluorometer, Transmissometer, etc.
A variety of communication methods are available depending on the user requirements. These include RS- 232 and FSK telemetry.
