Description

The General Oceanics Model GO8P50A is a general purpose heavy duty electromechanical parallel port relay module with 8 single-pole double throw, non-latching relays. The relays can switch up to 50 amps.

Each relay has a Normally Closed (NC), Normally Open (NO), and Common (COM) terminal.

The relay module has a unique hardware/software safety mechanism that prevents the random activation of relay switches on the board during computer boot-up or shut-down.

The unit is designed to be interfaced with the parallel port of a computer.

Simply connect one end of the cable supplied to the printer port (parallel port) of your computer, the other to the connector on the relay board.

The unit may be used to control a variety of devices such as lamps, motors, or appliances.

The GO8P50A electromechanical parallel port relay module is supplied with a general purpose software routine.
