NISKIN NON-METALLIC WATER SAMPLING BOTTLES Model 1010 Series
DESCRIPTION
Non-metallic free-flushing sampling bottles activated by GO Devil
messengers (1000-MG) when individually or serially attached to hydrocable.
Sequential closure by remote command with model 1015 or 1016 Rosette@
multibottle array, or model AR1015 Acoustic Command Control option.
SPECIFICATIONS Mounting:
Cable clamps on 1.2 to 12-liter bottles are for cable diameters up to and
including 6.4mm(1/4"). Clamps on larger bottles are for diameters up
to and including 8.0mm (5/16"). Material: Non-metallic construction of PVC tube section, and end stoppers, handles
and cable clamp blocks (aluminum on 30-liter bottle). Delrin stopcocks,
air vent screw and push rod. Stainless steel cable clamps. End stopper
closure band of latex tubing. Buna-N O-ring seals ( other materials
available). Nylon monofilament lanyards. End Closure:
Stopper with spherical section sealing surface held firmly against O-ring
seal by internal latex tubing. Drainage: Thumbscrew air vent at top.
Stopcock at base: 4.7mm (.187") diameter except for 20- and 30-liter
bottles, which have a second, larger basal stopcock (9.52mm, .375")
for rapid drainage. Dimensions: Dimensions and weights 1.2 - 30 liter .Niskin

Optional: Stainless steel springs with teflon or epoxy coatings.
STANDARD ORDER Standard order includes bottle, clamp bolts for attachment on cable (see
overleaf) and mounting block to attach to Rosette@ multibottle array.
Specify bottle size. Order messenger additionally. Order
thermometer-reversing assemblies additionally. Order teflon coating
additionally. Latex tubing is the standard bottle-closing mechanism;
stainless steel spring (teflon or polyester resin coating) is optional.

bottle repair kit containing end plug stopcock assembly, air vent screw,
latex tubing, cable clamp, PVC cement, O-rings, 2 stainless steel clamps (
not in 20-and 30-liter kits), brass snap, nicropress clamps, misc.
hardware. Specify bottle capacity when ordering kit. Niskin model 1010
bottle O-ring kits. Specify bottle capacity. Other parts and assemblies
available additionally.
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM MRP-2 With this program, at nominal cost per bottle, equipment may be returned
for factory maintenance as follows: (1) inspection & thorough cleaning of all parts, (2) Replacement of O-ring seals as required, (3) Replacement of latex tubing where required, (4) Replacement of end-stopper lanyards as needed, (5) Test of overall operation & watertightness, (6) return of equipment to customer, shipping charges prepaid. Customer
will be notified of any need for repairs, along with an estimate for parts
and labor costs. Upon completion of maintenance and any repairs, normal
warranty on parts and labor will be renewed for another year.

REVERSING THERMOMETER ASSEMBLY* MODELS 1000-3 and 1000-4 DESCRIPTION Non-metallic (high-impact ABS plastic) 3-thermometer (model 1000-3) and
4-thermometer (model 1000-4) reversing assemblies are easily mounted on
existing bottles, or can be factory installed on new bottles. The rack
portion of the assembly is removable and interchangeable.

STANDARD ORDER Standard order includes reversing assembly consisting of removable
thermometer rack, reversing pulley-mount saddle subassembly, and anchor
block for attachment of latex drive band. Specify 3- or 4-thermometer
capacity. Specify bottle capacity for which reversing assembly is
intended.
